Why I Love the Game:

Fellow bloggers, so I am going to shed a little light on the reason I
play this amazing game of hockey. I suppose a lot of my influence
stems from the Canadian blood that flows through my veins, and though
growing up in a non-hockey hotbed of Fort Wayne, Indiana, I have
developed a passion for this crazy game. Another reason I live in a
pair of skates might be the fact my Dad, a farm boy from small town
South-Western Manitoba, lives and breathes the game. He never pushed
me towards hockey, and in fact it was my mom who took me to learn how
to skate after I begged her. If it wasn’t for my parents support I
wouldn’t be anywhere in this game of hockey. My Dad has taught me
everything thing I know about hockey, and most things about life for
that matter. He was always able to relate real life situations to
struggles on the ice.

What keeps me coming day in and day out well, I suppose its the smell
of the ice rink, the sound of a tight turn in a fresh sheet of ice,
throwing a sick sauce, lining up that perfect hit, or flying down the
wing. Most importantly, the feel of victory, the energy in the locker
room after a big win are all valid sources for the passion that
overtakes my heart for this great game of hockey.\

One Love.
